The reframe

Making the signature was never the hard part.

You can draw one in a free tool in about nine seconds. What you cannot do in a free tool is know where the document is on Friday afternoon.

The agreement went out on Tuesday. Nobody knows whether it reached them, whether they opened it, or whether it is sitting behind a signature that has to happen before the next one can. Is this different from a free signature tool?

Completely. A free tool makes a signature image. This sends the document, tracks where it is, enforces the order, seals it and gives you a certificate a PDF reader can verify. If all you need is an image on a page, use the free tool. We will say so on the call.

Are electronic signatures legal in Australia?

Electronic signatures are recognised under the Electronic Transactions Act framework, with conditions, and some document types are excluded. We explain what the certificate records. We do not advise you on whether your specific agreement is enforceable. Ask your own advisers.

What happens if we send to the wrong address?

Correct the address and the old link stops working immediately.

Who owns the signed documents?

You do. They are yours and they leave with you.

Where is the data stored?

Answered specifically on the call: location, sub-processors, retention, separation. Trust and data

Does it do contract management?
