The pain

Consistency is the problem. Volume is just the symptom.

Repetitive tickets, a 24/7 expectation and four people answering the same question four slightly different ways. The risk is not that a question goes unanswered. It is that it gets answered wrongly, confidently, in writing.

Which is exactly what a generic assistant does. It generates a plausible answer about a policy it has never read, and the first you hear of it is the complaint.

We know what’s stopping you.
Here’s each one, answered properly.

  • “We can’t risk a wrong answer”

It answers only from your approved content and says so when nothing matches. Real questions are re-run after every change and a slip flags the same day. It is designed to refuse rather than guess.

  • “Our customers hate bots”

They hate being stuck. The handover is offered once, warmly, on a dead end or plain frustration, and then honoured. It never pretends to be human and it never performs being an AI.

  • “Will this replace our staff?”

It takes the repetitive load off them and hands them the conversations worth having. Every consequential action still needs a person to click.

  • “What happens at 2am?”

It answers from your content, and when it can’t it says so and takes a callback. It knows when you’re closed and offers a booking instead of a dead end.

The handover

Offered once. Then honoured.

The seeded refusal is in this demo deliberately. For a service leader it is the whole sale: the concierge that says “I don’t know” is the one you can put in front of a customer.

Harvest Lane Grocers

Concierge, answering from your pages

Demo · made-up store
  1. Visitor: Do you deliver to Berwick on a Saturday?

  2. Concierge: We deliver to Berwick Monday to Friday. Saturday runs cover the inner east only. The full list is on our delivery page.

    From your Delivery page

  3. Visitor: What would it cost?

  4. Concierge: I don’t have the delivery fees for Berwick. I can have someone call you with them. What’s the best number?

That refusal is seeded on purpose. It is the behaviour you are buying.

Made-up store. Harvest Lane Grocers is fictional and labelled as such wherever it appears.

What buyers actually complain about

Service leaders review two things: whether the AI lies, and what happens when it does.

Features barely appear. The public record for this category is about trust and the bill.

  1. The problem, in their words

“Answers that sound confident but aren’t accurate.”

G2, 8 June 2026. Named by paying customers of four independent AI products in 2026.

    How YDO resolves it

YDOanswers only from approved content and refuses out loud. A refusal your customer can act on beats an invention they cannot.

  2. The problem, in their words

Billed for a resolution that was not one.

Vendor community forum, 22 January 2025, vendor-acknowledged 18 May 2025: the per-resolution charge fires even where a human stepped in because the AI was wrong. The customer names it a “perverse incentive”.

    How YDO resolves it

YDOdoes not price per resolution. YDO never charges you for an answer it got wrong, so there is nothing to dispute and no incentive to call a bad answer a good one.

  3. The problem, in their words

“Bad customer service, very very slow.” · “Don’t expect service or support anytime soon.”

Trustpilot, 4 September 2026, and Capterra. Support that cannot be reached is criticised in six of the ten brands in the dataset.

    How YDO resolves it

YDOis built in Australia and replies in Sydney hours, within one business day.

  4. The problem, in their words

“Everything is an add-on … like they want to sell another product.”

    G2, 17 June 2026.

    How YDO resolves it

YDOpublishes its prices: YDO Connect is $499 a month, with Capture and a Sign licence included. First month free, no minimum term, cancel any time.

For the customer

A clean way through.

  • The refusal is graceful and useful: it names what it doesn’t know and offers the next step in the same breath.

  • It remembers people. A customer back a week later continues the same conversation.

  • The handover is a relief, not an escalation. Offered once, never framed as the customer being difficult.

For the team

Load off, context intact.

  • A summary card into the channel you already watch. Whoever hits Accept takes it live. No new inbox.

  • No pick-up in three minutes and the visitor is offered a callback. Nothing is left hanging.

  • Fumbled questions come back as cards with a draft answer to approve. The library gets better every month, and it is yours.

Before you go further

Worth knowing now rather than later.

We are not a ticketing system

No queues, no SLAs, no agent workspace, no help centre to maintain. If you need those, buy a support suite. And if you bought one mainly for its chat widget, the Zendesk alternative page is the more honest starting point.

Why it holds up

Consistent, grounded, and improving.

  • One answer, every time

It answers from approved content, so four people cannot give four versions.

  • Drift is caught the same day

Real questions are re-run after every content change; a slip flags red that day.

  • The library is yours

After a year you own an approved answer library covering what your customers actually ask.

Questions we get asked

Straight answers.

How does the handover work?

A summary card arrives in the Slack or Teams channel your team already watches. Whoever hits Accept takes the conversation live. The customer is never told to start again.

Does it integrate with our helpdesk?

Handover to Slack or Teams is built in. A helpdesk integration is built as a YDO Custom project. YDO Custom

Will this replace our staff?

It takes the repetitive load off them and hands them the conversations worth having. Every consequential action still needs a person to click.
